CSO reports 38% increase in successful planning applications

The Central Statistics Office has reported a 38% increase in the number of successful applications for planning permission last year.

The CSO said planing permission was granted for 19,752 dwellings in the fourth quarter of last year, compared to 14,338 in the same period in 2002.
