McDowell plans major prison reforms

Justice Minister Michael McDowell has announced plans to build two new prisons that will be the largest ever constructed in Ireland.

The Minister outlined the plans last night at the annual conference of the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors, which has been taking place in Cork.
