Murdered woman's funeral service today

The funeral of the 64-year-old woman shot dead in her home in the Tallaght area of Dublin is due to take place later today.

A huge crowd is expected to attend the funeral at St Dominic’s Church, where mother-of-five Joan Casey attended mass daily.

Mrs Casey was shot dead in the bedroom of her home in Avonbeg Park on Saturday morning, but gardaí believe she was not the intended victim.

Two gunmen broke into her house and fired one shot through the bedroom door, hitting the 64-year-old in the chest.
