More than 40% of Irish households segregate their waste for recycling, according to a report published today by Environment Minister Martin Cullen.

The report said 560,000 households had access to a collection service for dry recyclables like paper, glass and tin cans. It said 52,000 of these households also had a third bin for organic waste.
