Pedestrian killed on Co Laois road

A man in his thirties is dead after a road accident in Co Laois.

The man was walking along the Clonaslee to Tullamore road, near the village of Clonaslee at around 1am today when he was hit by a car.

He was taken to Tullamore Hospital where he died a short time later.
