The Government’s Commission on the Status of People with Disabilities has expressed concern about the ongoing absence of legislation to serve the needs of the disabled.

The commission was established by the Government 10 years ago and subsequently made more than 400 recommendations on how to fully integrate disabled people into Irish society, including the introduction of a rights-based disabilities act.
