The Labour Relations Commission has put forward new proposals aimed at bringing an end to the ongoing dispute between An Post and the Communications Workers Union.

The proposals, which were delivered to both sides last night, recommend that the hundreds of staff suspended by the company be reinstated before talks begin and that the status quo at the Dublin mail centre prior to the suspensions be restored.
