Paisley criticises Blair’s meeting with Gaddafi
Democratic Unionist Party leader Ian Paisley has criticised British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s efforts to make peace with Libyan President Moammar Gaddafi.
Mr Paisley said yesterday’s meeting between Mr Blair and Colonel Gaddafi showed how far Britain was prepared to go to appease terrorism.
He said Blair’s visit to Libya showed that he wanted to cast himself as a peacemaker and would be prepared to sacrifice the unionists of Ulster on the same altar.
