Labour slams cutbacks in widow's entitlements

Labour Party leader Pat Rabbitte has slammed the Government’s decision to introduce cutbacks in the social welfare entitlements of widows.

Speaking in the Dáil this morning, Mr Rabbitte said the decision to deny disability, injury or unemployment payments to people already receiving widows benefits was hard-hearted, mean and petty.
