A MRBI poll has predicted more people will go to eat in pubs when the smoking ban comes in.

The survey, which was carried out on behalf of the Office of Tobacco Control, has shown 20% of adults interviewed said they would eat out more often if smoking was not allowed.

It also indicates that overall business after the ban is introduced next week will be largely unaffected.

Damian Loscher from TNI - MRBI has said" "We found that more or less the same amount of people say they will go to a pub or bar to drink, but we found that 20% more people say they will go to a pub to eat after the ban."
