Thirteen ex-smokers have mounted a High Court action seeking compensation from the tobacco industry.

The 13, who are mainly in their 60s and 70s, have claimed they are entitled to compensation because they were not warned about the dangers of tobacco when they started smoking in the 1950s and 1960s.
