O’Callaghan lawyer accuses Gilmartin of paranoia

Lawyers for Cork businessman Owen O'Callaghan have accused property developer Tom Gilmartin of paranoia.

Mr Gilmartin has told the Mahon Tribunal that Mr O’Callaghan was blackmailing him in the late 1980s and paying a cartel of councillors to block his planned Quarryvale development in west Dublin.

Mr O’Callaghan was planning a separate development in nearby Neilstown at the time.

While cross-examining Mr Gilmartin today, Mr O’Callaghan’s lawyer said the allegations were untrue and accused the property developer of being paranoid.
