An Post suspends 64 workers

An Post last night suspended 64 staff at the Dublin Mail Centre over their apparent failure to implement changes to sorting methods, in a move that has infuriated the Communications Workers' Union.

Fewer than 24 hours after it seemed a national postal strike had been averted, it now appears that industrial action may be inevitable.
