Visit of Colombian Vice President sparks protest
The Latin America Solidarity Centre is to hold a picket at Leinster House next week in protest at the visit of the Vice President of Colombia.
The demonstration will be staged on the grounds that Colombia has the worst record of assassinations at the hands of state and paramilitary organisations working in collusion.
The group claims Vice President Santos, who is due to address the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Tuesday, has attacked human rights defenders, accusing them of being defenders of terrorism.
