Ongoing peace efforts in Northern Ireland are “the one little bright spot” on the international stage and need the world’s continued attention, Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams said during a fund-raising stop in western Canada.

Fresh from a visit to Washington to meet US President George Bush and other high-level politicians, Adams said that he understood the international media was focused on the volatile situation in the Middle East and the ongoing war against terrorism.
