Greens vow to be in power after next election
The Green Party has expressed confidence of being part of a coalition government after the next general election.
Such confidence was the main theme of the party’s annual conference in Galway over the weekend, which was used to attack the Government’s policies on housing, the environment and other issues.
The Greens insisted that they would be in power after the next election, raising the prospect of an alliance with either Fine Gael or the Labour Party.
However, party leader Trevor Sargeant ruled out entering a coalition with Fianna Fáil or the Progressive Democrats.
