Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has welcomed the Irish and British governments’ promise to push for progress in the peace process after St Patrick’s week.

Speaking in New York, Mr Adams also criticised what he described as a “feeding frenzy” against Sinn Féin by the Irish political establishment in the run-up to this year’s local and European election.
