Man killed in Kerry accident

A male pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a car in north Co Kerry yesterday.

The man, whose age is not yet known, was walking along the road at Beale, near Ballybunion, Co Kerry at about 5.30pm yesterday when he was struck by a passing car.

Gardaí are investigating but there are no further details at this stage.
