Gilmartin to resume Mahon evidence

Property developer Tom Gilmartin is due to resume his evidence to the Mahon Tribunal later today.

Yesterday, Mr Gilmartin claimed that former government minister Padraig Flynn asked him to lie to the tribunal during a telephone conversation in 1998.

He said Mr Flynn asked him to tell the tribunal that he (Flynn) had returned a £50,000 donation he received from Mr Gilmartin in 1989.

The property developer is expected to conclude his direct evidence to the tribunal today and will then face cross-examination from lawyers representing those he has made allegations against.
