Family escapes injury in Antrim pipe bomb attack
A couple and their son are recovering this morning following a pipe bomb attack on their home in Larne, Co Antrim.
The three were asleep in their home in the Bryan Street area when the bomb was thrown through the living room window at around 12.30am.
The device failed to explode and was later removed from the scene by bomb disposal experts.
A number of houses were evacuated as the alert was dealt with.
Meanwhile, shots were also fired at a house in the Cliftonpark area of north Belfast last night.
The occupants of the house, a man and a woman, were unhurt in the attack, which took place at around 8.45pm.
