Property developer Tom Gilmartin is due to resume his evidence to the Mahon Tribunal later today.

Last week, Mr Gilmartin told the tribunal about the corruption he faced when trying to develop shopping centres in Dublin in the late 1980s.

He told how former Fianna Fail TD Liam Lawlor received consultancy fees from the company behind a planned development on Bachelor’s Walk.

Mr Gilmartin said Mr Lawlor also demanded a £100,000 payment to help advance the planned Quarryvale development in west Dublin and told him former assistant Dublin city and county manager George Redmond would also have to be paid.
