SIPTU members at Aer Lingus in Shannon airport have voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action.

It follows the announcement last week of the airline's proposal to reduce the workforce at Shannon by half.

The company is seeking more than 100 redundancies as part of a plan to revise it's ground handling operations at Shannon.
