Woman killed in Co Limerick road accident

A woman has died and six others have been hospitalised following a road accident in Co Limerick this morning.

The head-on collision between two cars happened in Kilcoran, on the main road between Limerick and Foynes, at around 6.30am.

The victim, who has not been named, was a passenger in the one of the cars.

Two of those injured in the crash are believed to be in a serious condition in hospital.
