Garda arrested over alleged theft

A garda spokesman has confirmed that a serving member of the force was arrested yesterday in connection with the alleged theft of official garda records.

The garda, who is stationed in the south-east, was arrested at 10am yesterday before being released after three hours of questioning at Tramore Garda Station.
