FG urge Govt to reconsider Mountjoy decision
The Government is being asked to consider using the Women's Prison at Mountjoy as a step-down unit for the Mater Hospital.
The Justice Minister, Michael McDowell, is set to sell the facility, which was built in the late 1990's, at a cost of €18m.
Fine Gael Senator Brian Hayes says the building has more to offer than simply being a target for prospective developers.
