Juvenile prisoners spend night on 'high wire mesh'

A group of prisoners at Saint Patrick's juvenile prison in Dublin have spent the night on a high wire mesh inside the jail's grounds.

The 10 inmates mounted the mesh, at the facility beside Mountjoy prison, at around 9pm last night.

It is understood they're protesting the wire mesh itself, which is designed to prevent objects being thrown over the walls into the prison.
