Technology firm plans 20 jobs in Cork
A technology firm has announced plans to create 20 new jobs in Cork over the next 12 months.
Mediasat Ireland said it planned to hire the new staff at its premises in Penrose Wharf because of the unexpected demand for its broadband products.
The company has been operating in the broadband market for three years and currently employs 16 people.
Its chief executive, Rory FitzPatrick, said the expansion was due to unprecedented demand for its B-DSL suite of broadband products and that the company planned to roll out its broadband platform to the remotest parts of Ireland.
