1,200 jobs to be created at Co Cork business park

Cork County Council has granted planning permission for a E100m retail and business park that is expected to create 1,200 jobs in the next five years.

The park will be constructed on the site of the former Youghal Carpets factory in Carrigtwohill. It will consist of warehouses, offices, business units and other facilities.

The news will be a welcome boost for communities in east Cork that have suffered significant job losses in recent years.
