The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, and Transport Minister Seamus Brennan have both signed a book of condolences for the five victims of Saturday’s bus accident in Dublin city centre.

The book is located in Dublin Bus’s head office on O’Connell Street.

Speaking at the office this morning, Mr Ahern said lessons would be learned from Saturday’s accident, but he stressed that some accidents were unavoidable.

Mr Brennan, meanwhile, said people should not be too quick to point the finger of blame and should wait for investigations to establish the facts of the crash.
