Two die in house fire in Co Tipperary

Two elderly men have died in a house fire in Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary.

Gardaí said the fire broke out in the house on Pilltown Road at around 3am, claiming the lives of two men, aged 61 and 72.

The cause of the fire is unknown and the scene has been preserved pending technical examination later today.
