Pedestrian dies after Donegal road accident

A pedestrian in his 70s has died after being struck by a car in Co Donegal last night.

The accident happened while the man was crossing the road in Carrigart just before 9pm.

The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at Letterkenny General Hospital.

Gardaí are withholding his name until all next of kin have been informed.
