Police question women in missing men probe

Police in Spain investigating the disappearance of two alleged leaders of a Dublin drugs gang are tonight questioning two Irish women.

The women, believed to be the girlfriends of the two missing, are being interrogated tonight in a resort town south of Alicante.

The pair were arrested after flying to Spain to make a formal complaint that 26-year-old Stephen Sugg and 31-year-old Shane Coates are missing.

The men – linked to a west Dublin gang – have been missing from the villa where they were living in the south-east of Spain, for two weeks now.

The women can be held for a maximum of 72 hours.
