Customs conference highlights Irish security issue
A European customs conference in Dublin has raised the issue of security in Irish ports and airports.
The convention, which was attended by Customs officials from across the EU, has heard about the need to balance the requirements of business with security demands.
Revenue Commissioner Josephine Feehily has said: "The real fear is that something like a dirty bomb could actually move in a container.
"We must provide a security overlay to our traditional preventions."
