Man held over woman's murder
Detectives have launched a murder inquiry after a woman’s body was discovered in Northern Ireland, it emerged today.
The victim, in her 30s, was found in the Tarry Lane area of Lurgan, Co Armagh yesterday, police said.
One man has been arrested and taken for questioning, while a post-mortem is due to be carried out later today.
A police spokesman confirmed detectives were treating the death as murder and revealed they were following a definite line of inquiry.
However, a sectarian motive is not suspected.
