Remains found in hunt for missing woman
Gardaí investigating the disappearance of a woman said today they have found skeletal remains at a house.
The property in Ballybuglin, near Ballintra, Donegal, has been sealed off and state pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy is due at the scene this morning.
Mother-of-four Dolores McCrea, 36, disappeared on Tuesday night when she left her home for a darts match but never arrived at the game.
The wide-ranging search has now been scaled down to the one house, its gardens and sheds.
Dr Cassidy was determining whether the remains are human or otherwise as a forensic team from Dublin began an examination of the premises.
Ms McCrea has four daughters. The eldest, Sharon, issued an appeal yesterday for her mother to return.
