Pipe bombs defused in North
Two pipe bombs discovered at separate locations in Belfast were dismantled by the British army today, police said.
The first device was found at the junction of Westland Road and Cavehill Road at 10.15pm yesterday.
Police were alerted to a second suspect device in Alliance Road two-and-a-half hours later.
Army bomb disposal experts made them safe and a number of items were taken from the scenes for examination, a police spokesman said.
