Irish men 'have higher death rates than women'

Irish men have significantly higher death rates than Irish women, according to reports in this morning's newspapers.

The reports said a study due to be published next week would show that Irish men die an average of six years younger than Irish women.

The study by the Men’s Health Forum in Ireland is also expected to show that men are more likely than women to die by suicide and in car accidents.
