TD: Old mobiles pose toxic threat on landfills

Mobile Phone Company’s have been called on to ensure there is more public awareness of old handset-recycling schemes.

Fianna Fáil TD and member of the Dáil Environment Committee, John Cregan, claimed that large numbers of old phones end up in landfill sites, posing a toxic threat to the environment.
