Talks with CIÉ union continue
Travel chaos is looming for public transport users in coming weeks as the row over the break-up of CIÉ intensifies.
A statement from the Minster for Transport said that he intends to press ahead with the breaking up of the company, while talks with the unions are still in progress.
The National Bus and Rail Workers Union is accusing the Minister of doing a ''U-turn'' on an earlier commitment not to do anything until talks ended.
Its General Secretary Liam Tobin is warning that there may be fresh industrial action.
