Six still held over Co Down murder

Six suspects are still being questioned over the murder of a man in Co Down on New Year’s Day, police said today.

Three women and three men have been in custody since Friday. No charges have been brought.

Adrian Thompson’s body was found at the back of a house shortly before 5am on Thursday at Leamount Park in the Cline Road area of Banbridge.

Police believe the 29-year-old was beaten to death with spades.

Further arrests have not been ruled out.
