Women get chance to propose

Women across the country can propose to their boyfriends this February because 2004 is a leap year!

According to tradition, St Patrick only allowed females to ask for a man’s hand in marriage on February 29th.

The month gets an extra day added at the end of every four years to balance out the earth’s orbit.
