Enlargement top priority for EU Presidency: Roche

The Minister for European Affairs Dick Roche says a smooth enlargement of the European Union will be one of Ireland’s top priorities during 2004.

Ten new member states, the majority of which are from Eastern Europe, will join the EU next May during Ireland’s presidency of the Union.
