Four quizzed over dead homeless man

Gardaí were tonight questioning four people about the beating to death of a homeless man in Co Dublin at the weekend.

An 18-year-old youth, believed to be a relative of the dead man, was held last night, and three more people were detained later during a series of searches.

The body of David Sutherland, 54, was found with head injuries in a laneway at Sallynoggin, near Dun Laoghaire, early yesterday.

Detectives said they were following a definite line of inquiry in the case.
