Patrick Cooney, Minister for Justice in the 1974 coalition Government has hit out at the accusations levelled against it in the Barron report.

The administration was criticised in the Barron report over its poor handling of the investigation into the 1974 Dublin and Monaghan bombings, in which 33 people were killed.

Mr Cooney says there's no evidence to support the allegations of failure by the then Government.
