Opposition politicians have called on the Taoiseach to explain why he asked Roscommon County Council to postpone legal action it was taking against the owner of an unauthorised quarry.

Mr Ahern admitted this morning that he asked the council to delay the action it was taking against Brian Murray, the owner of the quarry near Athleague.
