George Redmond to be sentenced today

The former Assistant Dublin City and County manager, George Redmond, is due to be sentenced at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court this morning.

The former Assistant Dublin City and County manager, George Redmond, is due to be sentenced at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court this morning.

The 79-year-old has been in custody since being found guilty of corruption last month.

Mr Redmond, who is the first ever official convicted of taking a bribe, is facing a possible seven year sentence.
