Barron Report to be raised with Northern Secretary

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brian Cowen, said the Barron Report into the Dublin-Monaghan car bombs is a matter that will be raised with the Northern Secretary, Paul Murphy.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brian Cowen, said the Barron Report into the Dublin-Monaghan car bombs is a matter that will be raised with the Northern Secretary, Paul Murphy.

He was speaking after holding talks in Dublin with the British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw.

Mr Straw declined to comment on the report saying he "wasn't up to speed" on the matter.

When questioned on the fate of Saddam Hussein he said that the British government was totally opposed to the death penalty.
