A coalition of aid agencies has called on the Government to use its upcoming presidency of the European Union to help developing countries.

Dochas, a group of 33 non-governmental organisations, said Ireland should use the EU presidency to ensure that people in developing countries are afforded basic human rights and an entitlement to a decent livelihood.
