Minister for the Gaeltacht to lead the way in decentralisation
Minister for the Gaeltacht and Rural affairs, Eamon Ó Cúiv, says he hopes his department can be the first to be decentralised under plans announced by Charlie McCreevy on Budget Day.
Minister Ó Cúiv made his comments at Knock Airport today, where a new route was announced by 'BMI regional' between Knock and Glasgow.
It is the first flight to Scotland from Knock Airport and will operate from the 15th of March next year.
Minister Ó Cúiv says he hopes it will lead to the development of tourism in the west.
