Taoiseach in EU constitution talks

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, will take part in crucial EU talks in Brussels later today between the leaders of the 15 member states and the 10 states due to join the union next May.

At the top of the agenda for the weekend's summit is the European constitution, particularly how it deals with taxation, defence, and the allocation of votes among member states.
